The Métis are a nation. They are distinct people with a rich and important language, culture, and history.

There is no greater priority for the Federation than to ensure the preservation of our heritage and a prideful transmission to younger generations.

The Federation is proud and active in educating all Manitobans and promoting pride in our Métis heritage, respect for our existence as a distinct people, and resistance to the cultural assimilation of our members for the past 41 years.
